The Common Table is open year round and offers meeting space, together with delicious meals for groups up to 20 people. Overnight accommodations with family style bathrooms are available for families, small groups, individuals and couples. The Inn is perfect for family reunions, parties or any other special occasions. Weddings, receptions, barbeques, lobster bakes and other outdoor parties are available from June 1 to September 30.  Our GardensOur early 1800's farmhouse is situated on nine acres of land with a pond, woodlands and a lot of space for a quiet walk. In the spring and summer, several flower gardens add even more beauty to the property. We encourage all to return to the earth and enjoy our beautiful setting. Guests in our home are encouraged to enjoy our beautiful three season gardens, large deck, hot tub, walking paths, or simply sit by reflecting pond and watch birds and other water fowl.
 A Quiet SpaceIf preferred, our spacious library offers a quiet space for reading, working on a puzzle, watching a movie or sleeping in a comfortable chair.

A gathering place for small groups
All our meals are custom-planned to the interests of your group. We sit down with you and plan your menu. Everything is homemade and served family-style.
Weddings and Receptions
Everything for your wedding can happen at the Common Table. We have sleeping accommodations for you and your guests in our farmhouse. When you book our guest rooms for two nights, there is NO CHARGE for the use of the entire inn. We offer beautiful gardens for your ceremony and catering for your reception, rehearsal dinner, brunch and/or cocktail party. We offer services to assist with your planning and reasonable prices to help you stay within your budget. We do not have set menus. We sit down with you and custom plan the foods you would like to have at your reception. Many ingredients are grown on site in our own vegetable garden. We do not have a liquor license. If you choose to set up your own bar, we will provide the bartender and you provide the drinks, mixers, and other necessary items. That is what one of our guests recently said after a long weekend with us. They felt we offered not only the usual amenities of a bed and breakfast, but also a place itself with a unique spirit. They came for a vacation to enjoy the many different opportunities of our area, but found themselves wanting to spend more time at our inn. Our guest felt a "warm and welcoming spirit here" (to use their words), and left with the sense of renewal to return to their busy life. Their parting words in our guestbook were: 
There is so much to do in our area. The Common Table is surrounded by plentiful seasonal opportunities to get out and about – antiquing, outlet shopping, leaf peeping in autumn, bike riding & beaches in summer and snow-shoeing, cross country skiing, ice skating, and sledding in the winter. 
Our Conference Center is best suited for day retreats for up to 20 people. We are committed to trying to make our center available to all groups seeking a comfortable place to work, study, plan or just get away for some relaxation and good food. We have overnight accommodations with family style baths for retreat participants wanting or needing to stay overnight. 
We offer a main meeting room with fireplace for those fall, winter or early spring retreats, and a library which can be used for break out sessions. In addition, you and your group have full and private use of the entire Inn and its 9 acre grounds for those free time breaks. There is also a large backyard deck that is perfect for outside brainstorming or relaxed conversation. 
If you want a unique setting and outstanding service to make your wedding a day of celebration, then reserve the Common Table for that special event. We work hard to meet your every need. 
Our Bed and Breakfast accommodations include 3 bedrooms in the farmhouse, which can sleep up to 10 people. At the present time we have family style, shared bathroom facilities (2 1/2 baths). We find that families and groups of friends are comfortable with this arrangement. Breakfast is a full course meal with a menu that differs daily. We customize the menu to meet any food restrictions or preferences as necessary. Our Inn is the perfect place to celebrate special occasions. If you’re looking for a beautiful setting for an anniversary dinner, bridal shower, holiday party or other special functions, the Common Table is right for you. We offer a flexible menu and detailed planning to meet your needs. Just tell us what you want and we will make it happen within your budget.
